“The best kind of medicine is the gentlest treatment that produces the maximum healing response” Andrew M Weil MD
Welcome to: 1 Minute Wellness – July 2014
This newsletter is sent to you with our compliments and is intended to help you protect your health and keep you looking young and fit, naturally. We hope you enjoy today’s issue.
“Hey Dad, that jersey has to go!” “You might love it” my daughter Lyndsay continued, “but it’s looking a bit tatty. Why don’t you use the gift voucher that we gave you for Father’s Day and buy yourself a new one? And Dad, your jerseys don’t have to last you for the rest of your life! We’ll give you another gift voucher next year and you can get yourself another new one then!” I guess this sounds like I only own one jersey, which is not the case at all. The truth is I really loved that particular navy one and it became a habit to choose it first.
So it is with our health. We develop good habits and bad habits. Good habits feel completely natural and bad habits feel completely natural. The only difference between them is good habits bring good health and bad habits bring bad health. Most people are born healthy and become unhealthy because of bad health habits The good news? Together, we can put you on a path to better habits.
Here are 7 health habits that can improve your health and may also help you get rid of some aches and pains:
- No smoking,
- Waist size. Depends on whether you’re male or female and your height.
- Eat fruit and vegetables daily
- Exercise. It should be fun and should match your abilities.
- Nutrition-REAL FOOD. Not artificial food.
- Sleep-between 7 and 9 hours per night.
- Regular Reflexology, because it helps maintain effective and efficient functioning of the entire body.
1 minute health tip: A long healthy life is no accident. Good genes help, but it also depends on good health habits.
Incidentally, I did follow my daughter’s suggestion and I am now the proud owner of not one, but two new jerseys – a navy one and a beige one and I also have something to look forward to for Father’s Day next year!
If you’re concerned that your health habits are not producing the kind of health results you’d like to see, consider this an invitation to get in touch.
I wish you abundant health and happiness.
