HEALTHY BALANCED EATINGWhich will benefit you more?

No diet day was the topic being discussed on radio 702 on 6 May.

The word “diet” always gets my attention, because many clients who want to lose weight, ask for help with their eating habits. (All Reflexology treatments include dietary and lifestyle advice). So I listened, even though I believe that healthy balanced eating gives the best long term results.

“What in the world is no diet day?” I thought.  I soon found out. The programme host invited listeners to call in and talk about their experience with different weight loss diets. The unanimous agreement from the listeners?

None of them worked!

“Am I missing something here?” I thought. “Shouldn’t we remember that there are certain laws of nature that cannot be broken without severe consequences for our physical and mental health? Moreover….

Healthy balanced eating is one of those laws!

Dieting and healthy balanced eating are worlds apart.  The word diet suggests restricted eating to lose weight. Balance suggests eating a wide range of health-giving foods.

1 minute health tip: “When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use; when diet is right, medicine is of no need.” Ancient proverb

Lifetime Health’s Reflexology and Craniosacral therapy strategies differ from many other approaches, because  our aim is the ‘togetherness’ of the mind, body and emotions. There is no physical health without mental health.

Taking control of your health and fitness and finding time for yourself doesn’t have to be a long, stressful slog. You can get in better shape and improve your health with simple, strategic practices…….

You only need to know where to start.
