Welcome to: 1 Minute Wellness – November 2014

This newsletter is sent to you with our compliments and is intended to help you protect your health and keep you looking young and fit, naturally. We hope you enjoy today’s issue and thank you for reading it

I met Julian on a shuttle from King Shaka airport to Port Shepstone. My wife, Ann, Julian and I were the only passengers on the shuttle and after the customary introductions, we settled down for the 2 hour trip.

I asked ” Julian, where are you going to?” Oh, I’m here from China to visit my parents who live in Port Shepstone”.  Julian’s eyes were not almond shaped and he had a very distinctive South African accent, so I deduced that he wasn’t Chinese! (Simon Baker, star of the TV series The Mentalist has got nothing on me!) “Do you live in China?” I asked. “Yes, I’ve been living there for 9 years. I teach Chinese children to speak English. Many Chinese parents want their children to learn English”.

“What do you do”? Julian asked me. ” I help people who’re ill or who want better health ,   so they can live their best life”. “How do you do that?” he asked. “With Reflexology, Craniosacral therapy”, I replied.

” Oh” he said “I have Reflexology regularly. It keeps me in excellent health. Do you  give your patients nutritional counselling too? I never eat bread, because the wheat in China is shocking. I mainly eat vegetables” Julian said.

“The wheat in South Africa is also extremely unhealthy. It lowers the tone in the digestive system and throws back acid into the body”. I said. “I advise all my patients to eliminate it from their diets. as well as many other acid forming foods, which wreck our health.  Whilst patients receive their treatments we talk about their nutrition  and I recommend foods that de-acidify and detoxify the body, which corrects poor eating habits. Incidentally, we also talk about better their lifestyle habits and any other health matters they want help with”.

“How long are you going to be in Port Shepstone?” Julian asked. “I’d love to come for a treatment”. Julian then recommended a few books about health.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a suitable time to get together, because Julian was returning to China 2 days later. I was really sorry that we couldn’t spend more time together, because he was a real kindred spirit. Strange how the Universe works, isn’t it? I believe that everyone we meet, we meet for a reason!
