You’re exhausted from trying every wellness trend that promises transformation. You’ve started strong on Monday and crashed by Wednesday. Again.

The problem isn’t you—it’s that rigid, all-or-nothing approaches snap you in half like a cedar tree in a storm.

What if there was a way to bend with life’s chaos instead of breaking under it?

The Problem With Most Wellness Advice

You’ve been told you need more willpower. More determination. More self-control.

But here’s what nobody mentions: Your nervous system is designed to resist sudden, dramatic change. When you try to overhaul everything at once— perfect nutrition, exercise, eight glasses of water, a new skincare routine—your body goes into survival mode before you even begin.

You don’t need another rigid plan. You need to become flexible like a reed.

The Ancient Wisdom Your Body Already Knows

There’s an old teaching: A person should be flexible and yielding like a reed, not inflexible and rigid like a cedar tree. When a storm strikes, the cedar tree, rigid and unyielding, it breaks. When it strikes the reed, it sways in the wind and goes with the flow!

Your body understands this instinctively. It’s been trying to tell you—through tension, exhaustion, and that feeling of being “stuck”—that rigid approaches don’t work.

What if transformation could be gentler? What if three simple questions could guide you toward lasting change without the drama of another failed resolution?

The Magic of Three Questions

Instead of overwhelming yourself with complicated plans, your path forward becomes crystal clear when you ask:

“What will I start doing, what will I stop doing, and what will I keep doing?”

These aren’t just questions—they’re your compass for navigating change with the wisdom of a reed in the wind, bending gracefully instead of breaking under pressure.

Question 1: What Will You START Doing? (But Make It Tiny)

Here’s where most wellness journeys derail. You decide to change everything at once. Change 50,000 bad habits at the same time. Your body can’t handle that, because it has to keep all sorts of other systems going at the same time, so the stress response kicks in before you even begin. Instead, consider this – Think of one activity that if you did it superbly well and consistently, it will create marvellous results for your health. The kind of results you desire.  And, stress-free.

Your nervous system craves gentle beginnings. Like planting seeds, small actions take root and grow into sustainable habits when nurtured with patience.

The Key: Start with whispers, not shouts:

Notice how this feels in your body. Does the idea create expansion or contraction? Your body’s response is your guide.

Question 2: What Will You STOP Doing? (The Art of Gentle Release)

This might be the most powerful question of all. What are you doing that no longer serves you? What habits have become automatic but leave you feeling depleted?

Remember: Stopping isn’t about willpower—it’s about creating space. When you release one energy drain, like rigid wellness plans that make you feel like a failure, that doesn’t serve you and make room for what does.

Like a reed releasing old, dead growth to remain flexible, sometimes you need to let go to stay strong.

Question 3: What Will You KEEP Doing? (Celebrating Your Wisdom)

This question is pure gold, yet most of us skip right over it. You’re already doing things that support your wellbeing—acknowledge them!

Your body thrives on recognition and appreciation.

Celebrating what’s working isn’t just feel-good fluff—it’s neuroscience. Your brain needs positive reinforcement to create lasting change. You’re already bending like a reed in some areas of your life—honor that.

When Your Body Needs More Than Questions

Sometimes the answers to these questions are locked in your tissues—tension you’ve carried so long you don’t even notice it anymore. Your nervous system is stuck in “cedar tree mode,” rigid and braced for the next storm.

That’s where my work as a Therapeutic reflexologist and Craniosacral therapist comes in.

I partner with you to help your nervous system remember how to be flexible like a reed:

  • Release the rigidity that keeps you stuck in old patterns
  • Create space for your body’s wisdom to surface without forcing or thinking
  • Support gentle, sustainable change that doesn’t overwhelm your system
  • Help your body trust that it’s safe to bend instead of break

Think of it as giving your body permission to soften—not through another rigid wellness plan, but through the gentle, intelligent touch of someone who understands how transformation really happens.

You don’t need to figure this out alone. You don’t need more discipline. You need your nervous system to feel safe enough to release what it’s been holding.

Your Personal Revolution Starts Now

Grab a quiet moment and let these questions settle into your awareness:

  1. What will I start doing? (Choose one tiny, loving action)
  2. What will I stop doing? (Release one energy drain)
  3. What will I keep doing? (Honor what’s already working)

Feel into your answers rather than thinking them. Your body knows what it needs—it’s been whispering guidance all along.

Your Next Step (Takes 5 Minutes)

Don’t overcomplicate this. Right now, just:

  1. Set a daily reminder for a time when you’re usually calm (morning coffee? evening tea?)
  2. Spend 2 minutes answering one question – rotate through them
  3. Notice what shifts without forcing anything

Too Overwhelmed Even for Three Questions?

If your body is so locked in survival mode that even gentle questions feel like too much, you’re not alone. That’s exactly when bodywork can create the space for change to begin.

When you’re stuck in cedar tree rigidity:

  • Your mind keeps spinning with “shoulds”
  • Your body feels tight, braced, exhausted
  • Simple changes feel impossible
  • You don’t trust your own signals anymore

This is when hands-on work makes all the difference. Let your body do the talking—no questions required. Through Therapeutic reflexology and Craniosacral therapy, we help your nervous system remember it’s safe to be flexible again.

The Ripple Effect of Gentle Change

When you honor your body’s wisdom through these three questions, transformation doesn’t feel like deprivation or struggle. It feels like coming home to yourself.

One gentle choice leads to another, creating a ripple effect that touches every area of your life.

Your energy shifts. Your confidence grows. Your relationship with your body transforms from criticism to collaboration.

Like a reed that sways with the storm instead of fighting it, you learn to work with your natural rhythms rather than against them. Change becomes a conversation with your body instead of a battle against it.

Trust the Process

Change doesn’t have to be dramatic to be profound. Sometimes the most powerful transformation happens through the gentlest touch—like a skilled hand that knows exactly where to apply pressure to release years of tension.

Your journey toward vibrant health is already underway. These three questions simply help you navigate with more clarity, compassion, and trust in your body’s innate wisdom.

What will your answers be?

It’s all about action, moving forward and creating a better, happier life.
